Mediator

Looking for a mediator with specialist experience of business, employment, insolvency, board and shareholder disputes?

I qualified as a barrister and mediator after having previously set up, grown and sold three businesses of my own. In one of those I had a complex commercial dispute of my own that settled at mediation. The combination of those experiences makes me unique in being able not only to understand the legal issues involved, but also to get behind the issues to assist parties identify workable solutions for the future.

A great example of this is one mediation I conducted between a supplier and a large blue chip technology client. The mediation started with a bitter dispute and ended with supplier being granted a new two year contract to provide services! There’s no way that would have happened if the two had continued their path to the Courtroom.

I understand much better than most, the commercial imperative behind the swift and successful resolution of disputes that can cause disruption to a business. In addition to my core specialism, I have also conducted a wide range of mediations with other subject matters including amongst others family business, commercial contract, landlord and tenant, deposits, unlawful eviction, debt, unlawful interference, utilities redress, debt, professional negligenc, director’s guarantees, director/employee, workplace and employment compromise agreements.
